Samskrita summer camp for children at Mumbai Shankara Math


 

Samskruta Summer Camp was inaugurated on 7th May 2011 during Sankara Jayanthi Mahotsavam by Dharmapracharakar, Sri A.S. Gopalakrishnan at Sringeri Shankara math at Mumbai .  Thirty students registered for the camp.  After inauguration, Shri Gopalakrishnan spoke in simple Sanskrit rekindling the memory of  the inauguration of the Sri Abhinava Vidya Tirta Veda Samskruta Patashala by Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirta Mahaswamiji in the year 1992.  He advised the children to learn the slokas and Sanskrit and reap the benefit of our ancient culture.  Dr.G.Muthkrishnan, Hon. Manager also spoke the importance of learning Sanskrit.   The syllabus will be same that was blessed by Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidya Tirta Mahaswamiji in the year 1971 to Geeta Govinda Samskruta Sanga, Bangalore.

After 15 days summer camp for one hour in the mornings from 9 am to 10 am, the course will be continued on all Sundays from  9 am to 10 am to teach shlokas and Sanskrit to children.
