Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the Punah Prathishta Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Anjaneya Swamy at Soorly in Koppa Taluk on 29th May 2013. The Jagadguru in His Anugraha Bhashanam spoke about the greatness of Sri Anjaneya and His role in facilitating the mission of Bhagavan in His Avatara as Sri Rama. Such was Sri Anjaneya’s strength that even Ravana, who had made the three worlds tremble, had to take notice. Sri Anjaneya even counseled Ravana and asked him to free Mother Sita. Devotees pray to Sri Anjaneya for He is capable of removing all our difficulties and bestowing wisdom. Sri Adi Shankaracharya Himself describes the exalted state of the desireless Sri Anjaneya in His Hanumat Pancharatnam –

वीताखिलविषयेच्छं जातानन्दाश्रुपुलकमत्यच्छम् ।
सीतापतिदूताद्यं वातात्मजमद्य भावये हृद्यम् ॥

The last name of the Ashtottara of Sri Anjaneya describes that He is every engrossed in the service of Sri Sita Rama Swamy – सीतासमेतश्रीरामपादसेवाधुरंधरः. The Jagadguru also remembered the role played by Sri Samarth Ramadas, the Guru of Chatrapati Shivaji, in establishing temples for Anjaneya.

The Jagadguru blessed the efforts of the devotees of Soorly for taking the efforts of the temple renovation, and ended His Anugraha Bhashanam invoking the grace of Sri Anjaneya for the Shreyas of all.
