The grand Kumbhabhisheka of the Rajagopuram at the entrance of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri will take place today. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji will perform the Shikhara Kumbhabhisheka after having first performed the Yantra Prathishta and Kumbhabhisheka at the new Sri Thorana Ganapati temple in Sringeri.

The entire event will be telecast live on Sankara TV from 9 am. The public function in the evening will also be telecast from 6 pm onwards.

On Day 7 (Jun 7 2014, Saturday), the Atirudra Mahayaga, Koti Kumkumarchana and the Sahasra Chandika Mahayagas being conducted for the welfare of humanity continued to take place, as part of the Rajagopuram Kumbhabhisheka Celebrations.
In the evening, eminent vocalist Smt. Aruna Sairam was awarded the title of “Sangeeta Sudha Sindhu”. She received the blessings of the Jagadguru and performed at the specially erected dais besides the Goddess Sharadamba temple to a packed audience, comprising of devotees who have arrived in Sringeri from all parts of the country for the grand Kumbhabhisheka.
