Sri Sharadamba Murti Yatra to Kashmir commences

With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, the beautiful Panchaloha Vigraha of Sri Sharadamba meant to be consecrated in Teetwal near the LoC in Kashmir commenced its journey on January 24, 2023. The day, signified auspiciousness both for devotees of Sringeri Sharada Peetham as well as the Kashmir Pandits. The day being Magha Shukla Triteeya, marked the eighth anniversary of Sannyasa Sweekara day of Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam. The same day is also observed traditionally by the Kashmir Pandits as “Guru Triteeya”. 

Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam offered worship to Murti of Sri Sharadamba placed in a decorated vehicle along with a Murti of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

Sri Ravinder Pandita and other members of Sharada Yatra Sarvajna Peeth Temple Committee, Kashmir had received the Panchaloha Murti of Sri Sharadamba at Sringeri on the Vijayadashami day last year. Having received the blessings of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus on January 24, the Committee members commenced the Yatra towards Kashmir from the Sringeri Sharadamba temple. A grand procession commenced in the afternoon from the Rajagopuram of Sringeri Math with Math CEO Sri VR Gowrishankar flagging off the Yatra. The Sharada Murti Yatra to Kashmir will be completed by the end of March. The Kumbhabhisheka of the new Sharadamba temple in Teetwal will take place with the blessings of the Sringeri Jagadgurus.
