Sri Shankara Jayanti Celebrations began at Sringeri and in all main branches of the Math from Vaishaka Shukla Prathipat (18th April) and were conducted till Vaishaka Shukla Panchami

On 17th April 2007, a mobile diagnosis and medicine administering facility of Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai was blessed by the Jagadguru. The mobile bus fitted with video conferencing infrastructure was commissioned in the presence of the Jagadguru.
