The Jagadguru Shankaracharya left for Kalady, on the 6th of May 2010 at around 3:00 P.M. to grace the Shatamanotsava celebration and also to observe the Shankara Jayanti celebrations there, this year.

The Jagadguru undertook short visits in Karnataka between 28th March and 3rd April. During the visits, the Jagadguru performed special pujas at various temples.

The 60th Vardhanti and Ramanavami Mahotsavam were celebrated at Sringeri with great devotion and fervour. Published here the details of the functions along with an exclusive photo gallery of the two events.

The 98^th Aradhana of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji, who adorned the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham as the 33^rd Acharya in the unbroken lineage of masters; was celebrated at Sringeri with great devotional fervour. The 60th Vardhanti celebrations of His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji commenced with the Lakshamodaka Homam which was performed on the 16th of March 2010 at the Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswami Sabha Bhavanam in the precincts of the Math. Guruseva Dhurina Padmasri V R Gowrishankar has been honoured with a doctorate (Doctor of Letters) by the Shimoga-based Kuvempu University in Karnataka.

The 115th Varshikotsava of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala took place on 12th March 2010.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji started from Sringeri on 3rd March, camped at the Sringeri Shankara Math, Kadur and reached Tiptur the following evening.

The annual Durgamba Rathotsava, took place at Sringeri on February 23 2010 at the temple of Durgamba near Sringeri with the blessings of the Jagadguru who graced the function. Also published is the exclusive photo gallery of the function.

With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam which had been launched in November 2009 on Gita Jayanti with the objective of training Upanyasakas to spread the life and message of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya, was conducted at Bangalore from February 19 – 21 2010.
